Wee LaF for the July 8 Weekend - LaF 160

Ryan Bull and Richard Lusk are here to preview the new box office releases for the July 8th weekend. First, The Secret Life of Pets starring Louis C.K., Kevin Hart, and Jenny Slate is an animated tale from the creators of Despicable Me. The film shows what pets do when their owners leave for work. Next, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is an R-rated comedy starring Zac Efron and Adam Devine as Mike and Dave, and Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza as their crazy dates who just want a free trip to Hawaii. Lasty, Viggo Mortensen stars in Captain Fantastic as a hippy father trying to keep custody of his children after his wife's death causes her family to challenge the manner the children are being raised.

Wee LaF for the January 22 Weekend - LaF 114

LaF knows how to beat the cold of winter. The solution is to go and see a film at your local cineplex. Episode 114 has the L-Train and Mr. Two-Frames previewing all the new releases for the January 22 weekend. First up, Chloe Grace Moretz attempts to fill the hole left by the end of The Hunger Games franchise, as she stars in The 5th Wave. Based on the novel of same name, a series of alien attacks have destroyed most of Earth, now a young girl must save the world. For the horror fans, The Boy starring Lauren Cohan, of Walking Dead fame, accepts the worst nanny job of all time as she has to care for a life-sized doll that she comes to believe is alive. Lastly, Robert DeNiro has some spring break fun in Dirty Grandpa. Anything can happen after Zac Efron is tricked into driving his grandfather(DeNiro) to Florida for Spring Break.

Wee LaF for the August 28 Weekend - LaF 73

As summer rolls to a close, LaF is just getting started. Episode 73, sees the L-Train and Mr. Two-Frames previewing three new releases for the August 28th weekend. Opening early, on Wednesday, is No Escape starring Owen Wilson, Pierce Brosnan, and Lake Bell. This thriller sees the young married couple of Wilson and Bell living the perfect life overseas when a coup breaks out. Now, they are running for their lives with only a former James Bond to help. Also in theaters, is the Zac Efron film We Are Your Friends. Zac stars as aspiring DJ Cole Carter who hopes to parlay his talents into fame and fortune. Lastly, opening in limited release, is the movie adaption of the teen lit novel Z for Zachariah starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Chris Pine, and Margot Robbie. After a disaster wipes out most of the human population, two men and a young women find themselves in a love triangle. Tune in and find out which of the films the guys are excited about and which films you shouldn't waste your money on.
