Wee LaF for the October 7th Weekend - LaF 185

LaF previews three new films coming out for the October 7th weekend on episode 185 of LaF. First, The Girl on the Train stars Emily Blunt as a divorced woman who becomes involved in a missing persons case that will leads to hidden truths becoming uncovered. Next, The Birth of a Nation features Nate Parker as he pulls triple duty as writer/director/lead actor in the true story of Nat Turner, a slave who led a famous revolt. Lastly, for the preteens, Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life stars Griffin Gluck as a teenager who fights back against his principal's rules against creativity.

Wee LaF for the April 22 Weekend - LaF 137

REJOICE! LaF has returned after a brief hiatus. For episode 137,  Richard Lusk and Ryan Bull are previewing two new films hitting theaters on April 22. First, Elvis & Nixon tells the untold story of Nixon meeting with Elvis at the White House. This historic comedy stars Kevin Spacey  as Richard Nixon, and Michael Shannon as Elvis Presley. Next, The Huntsman: Winter's War starring Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron, and Emily Blunt is the prequel to 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman. In this film, two rival witch queen sister are battling for control of all the lands. Caught in the middle are two warriors who must keep their forbidden love a secret. 

The fellas have their weekly Redbox and streaming picks for those staying away from the box office this weekend.

Sicario - LaF 119

Episode 119 is going to be big. Richard Lusk and Ryan Bull are reviewing Sicario, the movie that just last week earned top honors as it was named LaF's Best Film of 2015. The film is from director Denis Villeneuve and stars Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro. Sicario is a hard-hitting action-drama about the U.S. war against drugs coming over the border from Mexico. While both of hosts are upset that the film did not get nominated for an Best Picture Oscar, they have decided to dedicate an entire episode to reviewing and discussing this amazing picture. In addition to the movie review, the fellas discuss the career of Denis Villeneuve, who should go see Sicario, and what makes for a perfect film.

Wee LaF for the September 25 Weekend - LaF 81

Episode 81 of LaF has the L-Train and Mr. Two-Frames looking at four new movies hitting theaters for the September 25 weekend. First, expanding nationwide, is Sicario starring Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro. This action drama follows an idealistic FBI Agent(Blunt) as she recruited to help fight the war on drugs on the U.S. and Mexico border. Next, is director Eli Roth's newest horror film The Green Inferno. A group of college students are in for very bad time after a cannibalistic tribe finds them in Amazon following a plane crash. Next, is the Halloween themed kiddie flick Hotel Transylvania 2 featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, and Selena Gomez. This not too scary PG animated flick is the perfect way to introduce the youngsters to the classic Hollywood movie monsters. Lastly, Robert De Niro works for Anne Hathaway in The Intern. This comedy comes from director Nancy Meyers who has made such hit films as Something's Gotta Give and What Women Want.
