Today's film is director John Crowley's critically acclaimed 1950's period drama, Brooklyn. Boasting impressive acting performances from Saoirse Ronan as young lass Eilis; Emory Cohen as her Italian working-class boyfriend, Tony; and Domhnall Gleason as Jim Farrell, this movie effectively captures the Irish Immigrant experience and examines the intense conflict between responsibility and romance.
